You can test using special test strips. Upon contact with the coolant, the strip changes color, according to which a special scale determines the condition of the coolant and whether it needs to be changed or not.

How often the change the antifreeze is needed?

There is no single recommendation for all cars. Automakers give antifreeze replacement recommendation every 100,000 kilometers. Many mechanics recommend changing the engine coolant at least twice a year to prevent the formation of corrosion, especially in cars with aluminum cylinder heads and a radiator.
